Hi, my name is Claire Macmenemey and I'm an Ofsted registered Childminder (Little Explorers) based in Hellaby. I'm 31 years old and live with my husband Andrew, our 2 year old son Freddie, and our Cocker Spaniel Hugo.
After having my son in 2015, I decided to leave my job as an Intelligence Analyst in the Royal Air Force and retrain to become a Childminder as I didn't want to deploy overseas again. Good manners, respect for others and kindness are all values that I try to instill in the children I care for, as well as my own child, and I take a firm but fair approach.
I incorporate daily activities into our routine to ensure I follow the EYFS standards and aid in the learning and development of your child. A typical day might include the following (rough timings depending on school runs etc):
0800 - breakfast
0845 - school run
0915 to 1145 - outdoor/indoor activities or play group
1000 - healthy snack
1200 - lunch
1300 to 1500 - rest/nap time or free play
1500 - school run
1530 - activity such as arts and crafts or group games
1630 - dinner
Obviously the timings are flexible and it depends on the age and stage of the children I have on any given day.
For babies and children under 4, I provide a daily written diary so that you can see what they have eaten, what we have done and it gives you a chance to have an input into your child's learning. I provide breakfast, morning snack and evening meal (for children over 1) at no extra cost but ask that you provide a packed lunch for your child.
I can do drop offs and pick ups at Bramley Sunnyside and Bramley Grange schools.
If you need any further details, please call me.
